This is a recent purchase for commuting. Miyatas are known to have made some of the best production frames in the 1980s. Their touring bikes, especially the 1000 GT are the worlds best and still sell for $1500 on eBay.
The 615GT is a step below the 1000 from a pure touring perspective. But it has a shorter wheelbase and is a bit lighter.
